VideoSave Privacy Policy

VideoSave is a browser-based video detection and download manager. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app.

Data Sent to the Video Analysis Service

When you scan or download a video, VideoSave may send the following data to the video analysis service to find downloadable media files:

• Current page URL and page title.
• Detected media links and basic media metadata, such as format, size, duration, width, and height.
• Request headers needed to access the media source.
• Cookies associated with the current page when they are needed to resolve a playable media URL.
• Limited page HTML captured from the current page.

This data is used to identify downloadable media variants and is not used to build user profiles.

Feedback

If you submit feedback in the app, VideoSave sends your feedback message, app version, package name, language setting, and an app-generated installation identifier to the support service. This is used only to review and respond to product issues and suggestions.

Data Stored on Your Device

• Download task metadata, file names, progress, and local file paths.
• Downloaded media and private-folder media.
• App settings and the salted hash of the private-folder PIN.

Downloaded files remain on your device unless you export, move, or delete them. Uninstalling the app removes app-internal files.

Advertising and Purchases

Google Play Billing may process subscription purchases. Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers and ad interaction data according to Google's policies. These features are enabled only in builds configured with the corresponding Google services.

User Responsibilities

You must only download media that you own, have permission to save, or are allowed to download under the source website's terms. VideoSave does not support YouTube downloads and does not intentionally support paid, DRM-protected, subscription-only, or private content.
